AXO – THE RESURRECTIONISTS

A NEW MOVEMENT FROM THE HEART OF EDINBURGH

THE RESURRECTIONISTS

Resurrectionists focus on your art regardless of your cv

AXO Gallery at 59 Queen Charlotte Street, Edinburgh EH6 7EY

“Happenings were events created by artists, initially in America, in the late 1950s and early 1960s.  Happenings typically took place in an environment within the gallery and involved light, sound, slide projections and an element of spectator participation”

And that is exactly what we hope to resurrect.  Spontaneity, excitement and a buzz about art.

Artists will be invited to take part in 3 events throughout the year, and members will be sent an email very close to the Happening – if you can come you will experience an amazing and varied event – if you miss it – you’ve missed it.

Proposals are being accepted for the following:

Performance

Photography

Painting

Sculpture

Installation

Video

Graphics

If you have a proposal in any other field we are happy to look at that too.
